Proof of Geekhood
« on: February 18, 2010, 07:32:11 PM »

Not really proof but seemed like a reasonable title ;)

What hardware / general items do you guys own that really shows your dedication to the geekhood?

I would say my 6 pc's dotted around my house, my blackberry (which my friends call a doucheberry in order to mock me :D), Zboard with the WoW keyset among a few others, Logitech G15 keyboard =D, WoW hat and T-shirt (got as an xmas present and only wear during LAN parties)

And ofcourse, most of all, my neck beard: http://fc03.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2009/350/5/e/Updated_me_2_by_GoheX.jpg (yes it's tiny in that photo but that was awhile ago)

Feel free to fling your EP's around. We won't judge your geekiness.

And also; loving the new thread, tech <3

Hmm.... Gaming rig, 24" monitor with 17" on the side. G15 keyboard, G35 headset. Dual 300gb Velociraptor drives in raid for my main drive.  iPhone 3Gs. Server rack with 2 computers, one for security cameras, the other as my server/dvr that feeds my Xbox 360 and PS3.  50" Sony SRDX, Dreamcast... AMD barton 2500 running as an arcade box with a Tank Stick attached.  24 port 100mb switch.  Gobs of other tech all around my house and myself.

An Internet radio show about Geek culture...

Plus, I posted this from my Android phone, whilst listening live to Blue Plz!, while in the bathroom.

One example off the top of my head:

A Warcraft III Alliance Insignia necklace (and yes, LOL IRL necklace).

Won this one on a German WoW webradio show (was called WoW Nacht on wowszene.de), was the only participant to correctly answer a pretty tricky trivia about the WoW sitcom/radio play they were doing back then.

If that's not geeky, I don't know what is.

For as many cameras as are in the UK, more per capita than anywhere else in the world.  Not being allowed to have them on your personal property is just plain stupid.

And my list is just of those things actively plugged in or used...  I still have my PS1, PS2, Original Gameboy (with Tetris), Gameboy SP, PSP, at least 6 working computers in the house, probably 4 more stacked in the basement, and both Octale's and Hordak's computers at the moment... HAHAHAHA
